Lifeguard Jump Goes Viral

Watch Out: Lifeguard Jump Goes Viral

You may have already heard about it (along with thousands of others), but in case you didn’t, here’s the scoop. Ryan Tchoungoua, of Staten Island, was messing around the other day when he got the brilliant idea to jump over a lifeguard and dive into the pool. Who would’ve thought he’d gain so much attention from his tricks?

The video was recorded when Tchoungoua was Children’s Aid Society’s Goodhue Center, working as a camp counselor. His kiddos dared him to do the jump, and he gave it no thought. Minutes later, he had a video recording as proof of his ambitious dive — and a group of wide-eyed campers who found their new idol.

Kids weren’t the only ones who loved Tchoungoua’s stunt — he was contacted by many big-name media outlets shortly after the video was posted. Among these were AOL, ESPN, and Worldstar Hip Hop. He was even featured in part of New York Fashion week!

This isn’t the first time Tchoungoua has been around the block of stunts and pool tricks. He’s been working his daredevil tricks for years! Luckily for him, though, this is the first one that has gained attention… in major ways! Good job, Tchoungoua!
